Pupils should learn how to manage files and folders that they use regularly (Digital Artefacts)
"By the end of Key Stage 1 children should understand the structure of files, folders and drives. They should be able to save their work to the correct location and then be able to open those files at a later date. They should learn rules for naming their work so that it can be easily identified and they should be able to print their work when required."
In our ICT room we have an old metal filing cabinet which I use as a physical metaphor for drives, folders and files.
